Tia expected to spend a fun weekend with some of her old high school friends while hitting the ski slopes for her 23rd birthday. An unfortunate chain of events brings some unwelcomed guest to ruin the celebration before it even has a chance to begin. While a massive storm uses its strong winds and below freezing temps to threaten annihilation upon everything in its path, Tia has no other options than to wait out the horrific weather conditions in the confinements of the cottage with her ex-best friend; who devastatingly humiliated her at the end of their senior year.
Tia partly blames herself over the way things ended between Carson. She truly believes the hatred towards her is well deserved for betraying his trust. Despite the fact he’s not capable of expressing anything, but destructive words towards her, she remains hopeful they’ll finally reconcile their differences after all this time.
Of course Carson doesn’t feel any more chances are owed to the girl who caused so much emotional turmoil in his life and continues tormenting his nemeses instead of mending their broken friendship. Trying to distract herself from Carson’s intimidating behavior, Tia digs up the old high school yearbooks her friend Mira brought along and reminisces over the past memories of her life; right before it started to become frustratingly complicated. Filled with so many regrets, Tia can’t seem to rid herself of the guilt that continues to nip at her heels and haunts her conscious. She can’t help but wonder how things could have gone differently if her ex-boyfriend didn’t always lure her back into his corrupting grasp or Carson’s conniving on-again-off-again girlfriend hadn’t made it her mission to put an end to the once tight knit relationship.
Will the massive storm brewing from the outside of the cottage make Carson and Tia its latest victims or will they take matters into their own hands and putting an end to the high school feud by ripping apart each other one painful memory at a time?
